Another suprise from Grandma

I decided to go back this week to looking through the boxes I inherited last winter. It is hard at times to see all those memories and can overwhelm me with sadness of  all those I have lost. You see I became an orphan at age 37 (if one can be one at 37) and then over the next few years after that all my relatives died. All the sudden I was the lone and eldest left in my family. Scary to contemplate at age 40. Maybe this is why I love family history as it connects me to something bigger than just me.

Well, my Grandma was a packrat and I was sorting through some old cards in a plastic bag that was in one of those boxes. I was amazed and surprised to see some very old writing on an envelope. Well I opened it up and was speechless.
